Lucca, Campbell Favored Early In Tight Race On The Voice

The Voice premiered their second season on NBC on February 5th and the competition is now getting serious as the second round of live performances will go off on Monday night. After that, someone will be sent home on Tuesday night.

The Voice is different from most reality/performance shows in that the four judges have teams. Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton all know what it takes to make it in the entertaining industry and then there’s hosts Carson Daly and Christina Milian, who is the show’s social-media pundit. Currently, the favorites to win the competition are Tony Lucca (4/1), who is anchoring Levine’s squad while Jesse Campbell (5/1) is trying to give Aguilera a win on The Voice.

But right now, there are at least 13 performers that have a chance to win it all, which will net them some cash and a record contract. Tony Vincent (7/1), Katrina Parker (15/2), Erin Willett (10/1), Pip (12/1) and Chris Mann (12/1) are all within a shout of the top favorites and then there are two more singers at 14/1 and four more at 16/1. It’ll take a lot for anyone past 25/1, where the next contestants start, to come away with the victory.

Right now, Lucca and Campbell are standing out from the rest but it is still very early in the proceedings and a lot can happen between now and the season finale. That all leads to great ratings for NBC in an extremely difficult demographic of fans that watch these sort of shows. They have a charismatic group of judges in Aguilera, Green, Levine and Shelton, who not only now how to get around the industry
